Harry specialises in providing proactive business development and taxation advice.
Advising on establishing UK subsidiaries of international firms is a particular area of expertise for Harry. He advises on all the practical aspects, the personal tax implications and transfer pricing considerations as well as liaising with group Financial Directors to ensure consolidated and seamless reporting.
Harry also has extensive experience in negotiating settlements with HM Revenue and Customs following tax investigations.
Harry qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1973 and has been a partner in general practice since 1976. He joined Carter Backer Winter as a partner in 1998.

Relevant experience
- Advised a newly established UK subsidiary of an international software firm on implementing a UK compliant accounting system. In addition, he worked closely with the CEO to advise on tax and general management issues.
- Negotiated with HMRC on a lengthy 3 year enquiry into a client’s complex property business. Harry and his team reconciled hundreds of transactions and represented the client through frequent HMRC interrogations. The result was a tax neutral agreement.
