Paul, a forensic and corporate investigation specialist, is well known for his ability to understand and interpret complex accounting transactions – whether for the purposes of supporting a legal case or in the course of a commercial due diligence exercise.
Paul also acts for a number of insurance entities and brings to them his experience as an insurance and banking specialist auditor.
He is an experienced accounting expert witness in Court and other formal proceedings.
Previously a partner in a major international accountancy firm, Paul moved to CBW in 2005.
Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Academy of Experts and Fraud Advisory Panel.

- Audit partner for Municipal General and adviser to a Lloyd’s Members Agent.
- Appointed by the SFO as an expert in a number of high profile fraud cases including a “Ponzi” Scheme (as reported in the media in Jun09)
- Experienced in giving evidence in Court and arbitration proceedings and providing support during mediation
- Appointed to investigate various circular and other financial transactions in connection with the alleged negligence of an international audit firm
- Reporting expert in connection with a number of substantial claims for loss of profits in a variety of business sectors
- Assisted Cheshire Police in obtaining an 8 year jail sentence for fraudster, Mr Mawdsley. Advice included both Forensic investigations and Financial Planning valuations
