Paul has 18 years’ experience in advising small and medium sized enterprises and, in particular, ambitious and fast growing owner managed businesses where personal and business objectives have to be carefully balanced.
Paul gets actively involved with his clients, identifying opportunities to save money, reduce tax liabilities and improve profits. He also guides them through the process of establishing management information systems and financial control mechanisms that ensure they avoid the pitfalls inherent in rapid growth and change.

In addition, Paul heads up the firm’s not for profit and charities specialist department and in his spare time acts as the trustee for a local charity.

Paul is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

He advises on the implementation of appropriate systems to ensure the directors maintain control as well as their current growth rate. He also advises on strategies to improve profits and reduce tax liabilities.
  • Advised his charity client trustees on the changes they needed to make in light of recent changes in charities legislation.
  • Identified a massive tax saving for a client planning the disposal of significant assets.
  • Deferred a client’s considerable tax liability to ensure sufficient cash was left in the business to finance a time critical business development opportunity.
