John, a Chartered Accountant, has been a full time licensed Insolvency Practitioner for over 30 years. His expertise in value-preserving is sought by businesses and individuals in financial difficulties. His practical approach results in the avoidance of formal insolvency proceedings or, at least, the opportunity for them to rebuild their lives and businesses with minimum fuss.
A regular on the lecture circuit, John is often quoted on insolvency issues and has appeared on television, radio and in the press.
John has also been active in the IPA and, since its inception, the R3 on whose Council he has served continuously. He has also been Chairman of their London Region, PR and Publications, and Membership committees.
He is Vice Chairman of the ICAEW’s Review Board which reconsiders the decisions of the Institute’s Disciplinary Committees.
Formerly the national director of corporate recovery and insolvency at PKF and previously a partner at KPMG in the same field, John now heads the CBW Corporate Recovery and Insolvency department.
