He is also widely experienced in advising UK subsidiaries of international businesses – specifically in reporting and tax planning matters – but also in resolving the cultural differences that may arise for internationally operating clients.
Peter’s approach is pragmatic, personal and hands on. This ensures his relationships with clients are all long term and mutually profitable.
Peter trained and qualified at BDO Stoy Hayward, is the Managing Partner for Carter Backer Winter and responsible for managing the firm’s largest clients.

- Guided an entrepreneurial client through the process of turning an entertainment business from receivership into an innovative and highly profitable business. Peter devised the correct business strategy that manages inherent risks and facilitates growth.
- Established the UK division of a multinational food business. Advised on all issues from start up including structuring, payroll, corporation tax compliance and transfer pricing compliance. Annual turnover now in excess of £20m.
- Advised on significant acquisition for AIM listed client in respect to valuations, projections and the required de-listing and re-listing exercise.
