CCR Magazine: CBW boosts its Corporate Recovery and Insolvency team with the appointment of a SME specialist IP; 14 April 2014

Mid-tier accountancy firm Carter Backer Winter LLP welcomes Melissa Jackson as Director to its Corporate Recovery and Insolvency department. She joins CBW from The MacDonald Partnership plc (TMP), bringing with her 16 years of insolvency experience in helping businesses and individuals to resolve their financial difficulties, whether through a rescue or an insolvency procedure. Her particular area of expertise is SMEs and she has gained a strong reputation for her ability to resolve cases in very complex situations. She has ACCA qualifications as well as being a qualified Insolvency Practitioner. John Dickinson, Head of Corporate Recovery and Insolvency at CBW says: “Melissa is an experienced and successful professional and well known throughout the industry for her tenacity, creativity and sensitivity when working with clients. We’re looking forward to having such a great asset in our team and we’re sure she will have a bright future at CBW.” Melissa will be working across a wide range of cases but the focus of her expertise will be: business turnarounds for SMEs, restructuring of insolvent SMEs, providing turnaround finance and assisting individuals in financial distress. Melissa will also be contributing to CBW’s business development activities. The CBW team with be further strengthened with the arrival of Guy Scorer as the team’s first full time Business Development Executive. He will be responsible for building profitable relationships with other professionals in the industry and developing CBW’s offering for creditors.
