Carter Backer Winter Insolvency Practitioner and partner, Carl Bowles, was quoted in The Guardian on 29 July 2015 in response to the latest Insolvency Service statistics. He said: “The anticipated and long-awaited rise in interest rates is very likely to result in a reversal of the current downward trend in both personal and corporate insolvencies. The impact of the increase in the cost of money historically takes a number of quarters to take effect. Carl has broad experience in rescues, recoveries and insolvencies. He joined CBW as a Director of Insolvency in 2010 and was made a Partner in 2012. He has extensive experience in commercial insolvencies including: Administrations (including pre-packs), Receiverships, Creditors, Members and Compulsory Liquidations and Company Voluntary Arrangements. Carl also deals with more complex personal insolvencies. Carl is a Licenced Insolvency Practitioner but also has an LLB Degree in Law and Accountancy and a LLM Master’s in Commercial Law.
