Carl has broad experience in rescues, recoveries and insolvencies. He joined CBW as a Director of Insolvency in 2010 and was made a Partner in 2012.
Carl is a Licenced Insolvency Practitioner but also has an LLB Degree in Law and Accountancy and a LLM Master’s in Commercial Law.
Carl is always prepared to take the time to discuss the options available to individuals, creditors and businesses prior to, if necessary, a formal engagement. He also works closely with investors, lenders, financial institutions and regulators.
Carl has taken appointments in numerous jurisdictions and had obtained recognition in the Channel Islands, BVI, Cayman, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Switzerland and the Middle East. He is a member of ARIES Channel Islands. CBW have an associated office in Guernsey. He has also taken a number of appointments in contentious international bankruptcies.
Carl’s experience includes a role with the Official Receiver. He is a committee member of the R3 Small Practices Group (SPG) and was Course Director for its 2013 conference.
Carl is a regular contributor to the BBC, Law Society Gazette and Accountancy Age on insolvency issues. He also featured as an Asset Recovery expert within the prestigious ‘Who’s Who Legal: Asset Recovery 2017.
