Ian MacGillivray’s particular areas of expertise are:

He enjoys helping clients make tax efficient choices and endure revenue investigations with the minimum of damage to their financial health. He is particularly interested in solutions for non-domiciled individuals.
Ian obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Manchester Business School in 2001. This supplements his considerable knowledge of all forms of taxation and ensures that the solutions he devises to clients’ tax problems are commercially sound.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG London in 1977 before moving to the Dutch electrical giant Philips. He returned to the profession and became a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1986.
